01 About this piece

About This Piece

Relaxed, athletic cut. Soft stretch cotton, 180 GSM. Built to be worn, at the gym, during majalis, on a Tuesday.

Death in honor is not about death. It’s about the line you will not cross to stay alive. It’s the integrity that decides everything before it ever has to be tested. It’s the answer you’ve already given before anyone thinks to ask the question.

Most of us will never face Karbala. But everyone faces smaller versions of it — at work, in family, in faith, in the daily quiet moments where compromise is offered as wisdom. Silences that look like maturity. Surrenders that look like growing up. Lies told softly enough to sound like peace.

The lineage we wear refused all of it.

What you wear on your back is a vow you make to yourself before anyone tests it. The shirt doesn’t make the vow. You do. The shirt just makes sure you don’t forget.

What It Means

Arabic: هيهات منا الذلة

Transliteration: Hayhāt minnā al-dhillah

Translation: Far from us is humiliation.

Source: The lineage of Ahlul Bayt (AS) at Karbala. The same stand taken by Imam Husayn (AS) and his companions. The same refusal made by the women of his household who carried the message forward.
